9 April 2008 – According to the preliminary figures presented today, the
OnVista AG (DE0005461602) increased its group sales in the first quarter of
2008 by 31% to EUR 6.35 million (Q1/07: EUR 4.86 mill.). The growth in
sales primarily stems from the online advertising sales firm Ad2Net, which
was acquired in March 2007 and has been consolidated within the Group since
the second quarter of 2007, as well as the Performance Marketing provider
Ligatus.

Group EBITDA stood at EUR 1.33 million (Q1/07: EUR 1.87 mill.). EBIT
amounted to EUR 0.98 million (Q1/07: EUR 1.65 mill.) There are two main
explanations to this decline. On the revenue side, sales were affected by
the general uncertainty in the market brought about by the turmoil in the
stock markets at the start of 2008, which was reflected in a stagnating
booking behaviour of customers in the Portal business. Despite that,
revenues from the Portal business were stable compared to the first quarter
of last year. On the costs side, operating costs were affected by one-off
items: increased investments linked to the setup of a new IT infrastructure
for the Portal business and the development of the financial community
Tradingbird.
Accordingly, the pre-tax group income stood at EUR 1.07 million (Q1/07: EUR
1.80 mill.). The pre-tax profit to sales ratio reached 17% (Q1/07: 37%).
Finally, the group net income in the first quarter of 2008 totalled EUR
0.59 million (Q1/2007: EUR 1.08 mill.).
