Pursuant to the Securities Markets Act, Chapter 2, Paragraph 10, Marimekko      
Corporation (Business Identity Code 0111316-2) announces that it has been       
informed that Morgan Stanley & Co Incorporated´s share of Marimekko             
Corporation´s share capital and voting rights has exceeded 1/20, i.e. increased 
to 5.44% as a result of transaction concluded on 7 April 2008.                  

According to the disclosure, Morgan Stanley & Co Incorporated´s share of        
Marimekko Corporation´s share capital and voting rights after the transaction is
