Delta Air Lines Announces Extension of Exchange Offer

Exchange Offer for Class A Certificates, Series 2007-1 Extended to April 14, 2008


ATLANTA, April 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) today announced that it has extended its offer to exchange (the "Class A Exchange Offer") $924,408,000 aggregate face amount of Class A Certificates, Series 2007-1 (the "New Class A Certificates"), which have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, for an equal face amount of outstanding Class A Certificates, Series 2007-1 (the "Old Class A Certificates") which were privately placed on October 11, 2007.

The Class A Exchange Offer was originally scheduled to expire at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on April 9, 2008, unless extended. As of the close of business on April 9, 2008, approximately $913,723,000 in aggregate face amount of Old Class A Certificates have been confirmed as tendered in exchange for like face amounts of the New Class A Certificates.

The new expiration date for the Exchange Offer is 5:00 p.m., New York City time, April 14, 2008, unless further extended by Delta.

This press release does not constitute an offer to exchange the New Class A Certificates for the Old Class A Certificates or the solicitation of an offer to exchange. The Class A Exchange Offer is only being made pursuant to a prospectus and letter of transmittal that have been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission as part of Delta's Registration Statement on Form S-4. The Registration Statement was declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 11, 2008.

Delta has not extended the offer to exchange $265,366,000 aggregate face amount of Class B Certificates, Series 2007-1 and $220,103,000 aggregate face amount of Class C Certificates, Series 2007-1, which also have been registered under the Securities Act, for an equal face amount of outstanding Class B Certificates, Series 2007-1, and Class C Certificates, Series 2007-1, respectively, both of which were privately placed on October 11, 2007. All outstanding certificates in these classes were tendered for exchange prior to the expiration of the offer.
