Lappland Goldminers has encountered visible gold while drilling at Tjålmträsk

Lappland Goldminers AB (publ), listed on First North and the OTC list
of the Oslo exchange, has completed a bedrock chip sampling program
in the area of Tjålmträsk. The bedrock chip sampling program showed
very interesting elevations in gold grades over an area, which now is
targeted by continued core drilling, has directly resulted in the
discovery of visible gold.

Tjålmträsk gold exploration project is situated on the Gold Line in
Västerbotten, around 5 km south of Sorsele. The project was started a
few years ago after the find of gold mineralized boulders in the
area, of which one with an exceptional value of 350 g/t Au and
several boulders with grades of 1 - 31 g/t.

Core drilling in 2007 showed a number of gold-mineralized drill
sections within two divisions of the area, around 600 m apart. The
relationship between these two areas was further investigated using
geophysical surveying along with bedrock chip and bottom till
sampling. The results indicate that there is an additional
gold-anomaly area between the previously known mineralizations. The
results also indicate that the southern mineralization appears to
continue towards east. The interpretated gold-mineralized structure
is about 1.600 metres long in altered metavolcanics and
metagraywackes. The southern flank of the structure is bounded by
Revsund granite.

- The Tjålmträsk area is a very exiting gold exploration area, due to
the large quantity of gold-mineralized boulders encountered within
it. With all the data from the area now having been analyzed, we are
increasing our efforts with further core drilling to attempt to
discover the source of these boulders. In the first stage we will be
drilling ten short holes totalling 900 m. Nine of these ten drill
holes will explore the continuation of the gold-mineralization in an
easterly direction. The core drilling was commenced in early April.
In one of the core drill holes, hole number 200803, we have
encountered visible gold in six different places, within a section of
1.7 m. This section is part of a silicified rock at a depth of 35 -
43 m, says Lappland Goldminers CEO, Karl-Åke Johansson.
