Michel van Hemele was proposed as interim director of DPA Flex

The Supervisory Board of DPA Flex Group N.V. (DPA Flex) intends to nominate Michel van Hemele (51) for appointment as executive director for the organisation for a period of 6 months, in the role of CEO. Following the conclusion of the request for advice from the works council, the nomination will be put to the vote at an extraordinary general meeting to be called in the very near future.

 

Besides holding the position of supervisory director at DPA Flex, Michel van Hemele is one of the founders and managing partners of Essensys, supplier of highly qualified executive interim managers. In addition, Mr van Hemele is chairman of the Supervisory Board of Duvel Moortgat Brewery and of the Supervisory Board of Autogrill Belux, the previously listed catering group. Prior to that, for a period of ten years he was chairman of the executive board of Solvus, Europe's number five company in human resources solutions. 

Mr Van Hemele is a professor of international management and corporate strategy at the HUB faculty of economy in Brussels. Mr Van Hemele holds the Belgian nationality.

 

Michel van Hemele will resign as supervisory director per 1 May 2008 and will join the company per the same date as interim managing director (honorary). The Supervisory Board will endeavour to appoint a successor to Mr Van Hemele as supervisory director as soon as possible. The Works Council is currently processing the request for advice concerning the nomination and appointment of Mr Van Hemele.
