Chrome Systems and JMsolutions Sign Multi-Year Contract for Vehicle Description Data and Web Services

PORTLAND, Ore., April 22, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Chrome Systems(r), Inc., a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:TRAK) and an industry leader in collecting, enhancing and distributing best-in-class automotive data, today announced that JMsolutions has signed a multi-year, multi-tiered contract to use Chrome's vehicle description data and Web services to enhance its dealer technology solutions.

Serving more than 2,500 U.S. auto dealers, JMsolutions is using Chrome's data and VIN Web services (including Chrome Construct and Automotive Description Service), to standardize vehicle descriptions throughout its product lines. JMsolutions will be able to achieve greater data standardization across all of its three-suites of products: AAX(tm) inventory management, CMX(tm) customer management, and SMX(tm) sales and service marketing. Dealers will benefit from more in-depth analytics and increased ease-of-use.

"This agreement will be of great benefit to our dealers," said Tim Zierden, Assistant Vice President and General Manager, Software Solutions at JMsolutions. "Chrome's ability to provide Web-based delivery of VIN decoding and configuration, as well as pricing data, allows us to provide consistent data between our solutions, reduce costs and speed up our development cycle."

Peter Batten, General Manager of Chrome Systems, said, "JMsolutions' goal of integrating its entire solution set to enhance dealer efficiency is exactly in line with dealers' needs in today's challenging environment. We are delighted that Chrome's data and services are able to play such a key role in helping to achieve that goal, and we look forward to a long relationship with JMsolutions."

Chrome's multifaceted solution starts with VIN decoding or configuration, which can then be enhanced with vehicle images, reviews and/or videos. In addition, it features links to popular valuation guides, such as ALG, Black Book and NADA.

As part of the agreement, JMsolutions has become an authorized reseller of Chrome's Carbook Fleet Edition to its dealer customers. The agreement also expands further the relationship between DealerTrack and JMsolutions, which announced last month that they would integrate their SalesMaker(tm) (desking) and DealerUps(tm) (CRM) solutions, respectively, to help streamline dealer workflows.
