IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG / Forecast 22.04.2008 Release of a Adhoc News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Board of Managing Directors of IKB Deutsche Industriebank expects that IKB Group (based on IFRS) will post a loss of - 0.2 billion (previous forecast: - 0.8 billion) for the 2007/08 financial year. This reduction resulted from calculations during the ongoing process of preparing IKBs consolidated financial statements for the financial year 2007/08. The deviation from the previous forecast is due, on the one hand, to an increase of 0.25 billion in the positive valuation effects regarding liabilities of currently 1.5 billion after deferred taxes. On the other hand, the favourable valuation effect from the debtor warrants (Besserungsabreden) of 0.35 billion had not been included in the previous forecast. The debtor warrants are an element of KfWs capital injection that was made in February and March 2008 in a total amount of 1,050 million. It has to be accounted for as liability in the IFRS group accounts and shown at the present value of the future payments. The difference between nominal value and present value has to be recorded in the income statement. IKB will present its audited 6-month results for the financial year 2007/08 on 29 April 2008.
