Atlas Copco: Mats Rahmström to head Industrial Technique

Stockholm, Sweden, April 28, 2008: Mats Rahmström has been appointed Business
Area President for the Industrial Technique business area and Senior Executive
Vice President of Atlas Copco AB, as of June 1, 2008. He will succeed Fredrik
Möller, who takes up a position outside the Group.

The Industrial Technique business area consists of five divisions in the product
areas industrial power tools and assembly systems. In 2007, total revenues for
these divisions were MSEK 6 871.

“Mats has a broad international experience and has acquired extensive knowledge
about our business after 20 years within the Group,” says Gunnar Brock,
President and CEO of Atlas Copco. “He has also proven good leadership qualities
from a number of positions in product companies and customer centers.”

Mats Rahmström started at Atlas Copco in 1988. He is currently President of the
Atlas Copco Tools General Industry division within Industrial Technique. Mats
Rahmström has previously held positions in sales, service, marketing and general
management. Between 1998 and 2006 he has been the General Manager for customer
centers in Sweden, Canada and Great Britain.

Mats Rahmström holds an MBA from the Henley Management College, Great Britain.
