ARQUES Iberia takes over Spanish transport service provider, ASM

- Continuation of international expansion
- ASM with revenues of more than EUR 45 million
- Acquisition pipeline filled well

Starnberg, April 28, 2008 - ARQUES Iberia, the Spanish subsidiary of ARQUES
Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004) based in Starnberg, took over all shares
in the parcel delivery service, Agencia Servicios Mensajeria (ASM), Madrid,
for a symbolic purchase price. The company is represented in Spain,
Portugal and Andorra. The seller is the Grupo Agbar, one of the largest
Spanish industrial holdings, and the company Noray SL.

ASM undertakes courier, transport and special logistics services for major
customers in the telecommunications, banking and insurance segments as well
as the pharmaceutical industry. ASM has approximately 350 employees and 50
branch offices in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. The company generated
revenues to the value of more than EUR 45 million in 2007.

With this transaction ARQUES continues its international expansion strategy
which began in 2006. The ASM transaction is the third takeover in Spain. At
present ARQUES has international business activities in Austria, Spain and
Switzerland. Hereby ARQUES opens up interesting growth potential based on
its successfully established and internationally unique business model.

'The takeover of the courier service, ASM, is a typical ARQUES transaction:
symbolic purchase price, high restructuring and exit potential. In
addition, the takeover proves that ARQUES has established itself in Spain
as a business partner of conglomerates regarding spin-offs of subsidiaries
no longer belonging to the core business. The acquisition pipeline is well
filled and we are expecting to announce further transactions shortly', said
ARQUES chairman of the executive board, Dr. Michael Schumann.

The takeover is the first of a total of 10 to 15 acquisitions planned for
2008. In addition, ARQUES wants to sell between 5 and 7 successfully
restructured subsidiaries in the current year. With Missel, Oxiris and
Jahnel-Kestermann, ARQUES has already sold 3 companies from its investment
portfolio this year.

Tribeca Abogados supported ARQUES Iberia in the transaction.
