About the Author

Wesley E. Whiteaker was born in January 1918 in Woodstock, IL. He was placed in an orphanage and adopted by Rev. and Mrs. George Whiteaker. He went to the Spring Valley High School, Minnesota. This small farming town had the 4th highest school in the state in scholastic standing. The author went into the Army Air Force where he was an aviation cadet and became an electrical gunner on B29's. He flew together with the famous 547th Bomb Group that trained the atomic bomber crew that successfully attacked Japan. In civilian life, he became a tradesman, then superintendent of a large painting and decorating company, then had a successful career as a salesman. He started writing at age 80.
