North American Galvanizing & Coatings Reports On Annual Meeting Held in New York City On May 2


TULSA, Okla., May 5, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- North American Galvanizing & Coatings, Inc. (Nasdaq:NGA) reported that the Company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders was held in New York City at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange on May 2, 2008. Eighty-six percent (86%) of NGA outstanding shares eligible to vote were represented. Stockholders re-elected six incumbent members of the Board and added a seventh member, with each Director receiving at least ninety-three percent (93%) of the shares voted: Linwood J. Bundy, Gilbert L. Klemann, II, Ronald J. Evans, Patrick J. Lynch, Joseph J. Morrow, and John H. Sununu. Elected to NGA's Board for an initial term of one year was Ms. Janice K. Henry from Raleigh, NC, the former Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Treasurer of Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. Ms. Henry will serve on the Company's Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance & Nominating Committee.

The Company's Board of Directors and Management participated in the NASDAQ Closing Bell Ceremony on May 1, 2008.
