Release of a Voting Rights announcement

The BlackRock, Inc. and BlackRock Holdco 1, LLC informed us that on April
29th, 2008 the percentage holding of the voting rights in SolarWorld AG,
Bonn, Germany, held by BlackRock, Inc., New York, USA, and BlackRock Holdco
1, LLC, New York, USA, each fell below the threshold of 3% and is now each
2.82% (3157832 voting shares). All of the voting rights are each
attributable to them pursuant to Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 in
connection with Sentence 2 WpHG. BlackRock Holdco 1, LLC is controlled by
BlackRock, Inc.
Pursuant to Sections 21 Paragraph 1 and 24 WpHG BlackRock, Inc. announced
that on April 29th, 2008 the percentage holding of the voting rights in
SolarWorld AG, Bonn, Germany, held by:
BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, London, U.K.,
BlackRock Group Limited, London, U.K.,
BlackRock International Holdings, Inc., New York, USA,
BlackRock Advisors Holdings, Inc., New York, USA,
BlackRock Financial Management Inc., New York, USA, and
BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., New York, USA,
each fell below the threshold of 3% and is now 2.35% (2633272 voting
shares) each. All of the voting rights are each attributable to them
pursuant to Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 (only BlackRock
Investment Management (UK) Limited) and No. 6 in connection with Sentence 2
WpHG respectively. BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited is
controlled by BlackRock Group Limited which is controlled by BlackRock
International Holdings, Inc. which is controlled by BlackRock Advisors
Holdings, Inc. which is controlled by BlackRock Financial Management Inc.
which is controlled by BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc. (which is controlled by
BlackRock Holdco 1, LLC which is controlled by BlackRock, Inc.).
