- Pétur J. Eiríksson resigns from Icelandair Cargo

Pétur J Eiríksson has decided to resign from his position as Managing Director
of Icelandair Cargo. He has led the company from its foundation in 2000 but has
worked for Icelandair Group and Flugleidir for 26 years. He will take a seat on
the board of Icelandair Cargo.

"It has been a great pleasure to start up Icelandair Cargo and develop the
company and help create its status in the air cargo world. The recent
Icelandair Group board decision to depart from its Airbus A330 plans creates a
turning point. From the point of view of Icelandair Group I support that
decision, but I think this is the moment for another Managing Director to mark
a new beginning", says Pétur J. Eiríksson.

"On behalf of Icelandair Group I would like to thank Pétur J. Eiríksson for a
great service to the company for over a quarter century. Pétur had, as the
marketing SVP of Icelandair, a key role in forming the present Icelandair route
network and the growth of tourism in Iceland, and he has since build up the
largest air cargo company in the country. It is a great asset for us that he
has agreed to take a seat on the board of Icelandair Cargo, after finishing a
magnificent carrier within the company", says Björgólfur Jóhannsson, President
and CEO of Icelandair Group.
