Proton Laboratories Announces Its Recently Licensed and Proprietary Cooling Tower Process Utilizing Advanced Electrolysis

ALAMEDA, Calif., May 12, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Proton Laboratories Inc. (OTCBB:PLBIE), a biotechnology company that develops practical uses for electrolyzed water, is pleased to announce that it has obtained an exclusive U.S. distribution license from its Japanese engineering group -- Innovative Design and Technology (IDT) -- for its proprietary cooling tower maintenance process utilizing advanced electrolysis.

The advanced electrolysis process that has been engineered and built by IDT provides users of cooling towers a highly-effective, non-chemical, non-toxic method of initially removing scale buildup in cooling towers and heat exchange systems and then prevents scaling in the future. Proton Laboratories is working closely with iDD of Moorpark, California for UL Compliance of the unit and for distribution of the product into industry.

The system was introduced into the Japanese industrial market with a high acceptance of the system due to the improved productivity of their processes and significant savings in energy and chemicals and reduced equipment downtime. As more of the industrial countries move away from its dependence on chemical maintenance methods, Proton Laboratories is providing a viable option to current commercial and industrial users of cooling towers and heat exchangers. The respective Facilities Managers in Japan have noted that the considerable benefits that are attained by this system can be quantified with regards to lower ongoing maintenance costs, less down times, improved productivity and the impressive overall quality gains. Additionally, growing concerns over ground water contamination from the disposal of toxic chemicals, used to maintain cooling towers, provides a strong need for a technology of this caliber.
