The company has been awarded a £1.3 million research and development grant from Scottish Enterprise towards a £5.5 million project to develop cutting edge components at the new centre that will be at the forefront of global developments in audio technology. The new office overlooking St Andrews Square will become one of the companys global centres of excellence and is expected to employ at least 20 Design Engineers by the end of this year. The centre will focus on the development of enabling technology for enhanced signal processing targeted to complement Dialogs energy management integrated circuits. The first such products are expected to be introduced within the next 12-18 months. Scottish Government Enterprise Minister Jim Mather said: 'This project has the potential to have a direct and positive impact on Scotlands electronics sector.
