Morris Polich & Purdy LLP Hosts 'Climate Change Litigation' Seminar At Lloyds of London

LONDON, May 19, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Morris Polich & Purdy LLP provided a groundbreaking seminar entitled "Climate Change Litigation in the US: Theories of Liability and Insurance Issues" held in the Old Library of the Lloyd's building in London, on April 30th 2008, with 80 in attendance.

Partners Jeffrey Barron, Walter Lipsman, and Douglas Purdy gave a thought-provoking presentation to an audience of Lloyds underwriters and other key insurance representatives, covering global warming issues, emerging case law, and a possible international impact on the insurance industry.

In conjunction with the seminar, the three presenters, joined by Managing Partner Don Ridge, attended numerous meetings with London-based insurance organizations such as the British Insurance Law Association (BILA), and ClimateWise.

"The expertise of our attorneys in this and other emerging areas of litigation allows us to provide valuable information and raise awareness for those who will be directly affected. We are honored to have had the opportunity to speak directly to Lloyds on this issue," said Don Ridge.
