Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On May 16, 2008 , UBS AG, Zürich, Schweiz has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting Rights on
Altana AG, Wesel, Deutschland, ISIN: DE0007600801, WKN: 760080, have
exceeded the 3% limit of the Voting Rights on May 09, 2008  and now amount
to 3.26% (this corresponds to 4575140 Voting Rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG, 0.07% of
the Voting Rights (this corresponds to 93539 Voting Rights) is to be
attributed to the company.
