WHAT: The second Port of Houston-Wide Job Fair highlights nearly 100 employers and positions, ranging from administrative/clerical to executive levels with available positions ready to be filled. Harris County residents represent 58,000 of these jobs. The Port of Houston-Wide Job Fair is aimed at introducing local residents seeking employment, as well as others seeking new career opportunities, to employers who have an immediate need for employees. There's a rising trend in job openings across the nation. While this is good news, there are challenges ahead as the economy shifts to one requiring more skills and higher education.
