THRANE & THRANE STARTS EXPLORER® 727 SHIPMENTS
Thrane & Thrane has received Inmarsat approval of the EXPLORER 727, the
company's new land mobile terminal. Following approval, Thrane & Thrane started
shipping the initial EXPLORER 727 terminals to its distributors.
The EXPLORER 727 is a successor to the EXPLORER 527, a terminal for vehicular
use. Features of the new terminal, that amongst other targets customers within
government and media, include data speeds up to 432 kbps with a guaranteed
speed of up to 256 kbps. The high data speed greatly improves the potential for
instance of making live transmissions while driving.
The introduction of the EXPLORER 727 strengthens Thrane & Thrane's position as
the world's leading supplier of mobile high speed satellite terminals.
