Meet The Brothers Three -- New Book Follows the Exploits of Three Gay Men Whose Lives are Affected by the AIDS Epidemic

ROCK ISLAND, Ill., May 21, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- AIDS affects all people not only with their health but also socially and culturally. Because of it, some people have been misled into thinking that the virus originated from homosexuals, which in turn spreads homophobia. An engaging, mind-opening tale about gays and AIDS is all set to begin in The Brothers Three, the new book authored by Lola Lambert and released through Xlibris.

The Brothers Three tells an enduring, sorrowful short story that chronicles the impending fate of three gay men who were friends and acquired AIDS through sex and drug usage. It depicts their lives surrounding AIDS and the toll it would take on each of them and their families. Spending a part of their young lives together, they then go their separate ways, moving to various parts of the country. They went to larger cities where homosexuality is more acceptable than in small town Illinois. Two of them were uprooted by parents and the other left because he was fearful of being rejected by his own family. Throughout the story, readers will discover that, contrary to popular belief, being gay does not contribute to a person acquiring AIDS at all. This book is a well-written social eye-opener that readers should not miss.
