QuiQom is leveraging Entropic's technology to bring innovative broadband solutions to the European market with its Q-LAN system offering its customers -- leading multiple system operators (MSOs) -- solutions to cost-effectively deliver multimedia services over the existing cable infrastructure to multi-family homes, apartment complexes and high-density multi-dwelling units (MDUs). The first commercial installation of Q-LAN in Europe is in Sweden.
Q-LAN Access Leverages c.LINK to Address Specific Access Needs
QuiQom Systems, which delivers complete access systems based on Entropic's c.LINK technology, has finalized its first commercial agreement with a European cable operator to deliver Internet and IPTV services in addition to normal CATV services. c.LINK technology works on the existing coax infrastructure and currently provides bandwidths greater than 100 Mbps, making it an ideal solution for fast, cost-effective deployment of multimedia services. By engineering a c.LINK enabled solution, QuiQom Systems is offering its customers a cost-effective way to offer high speed broadband access and advanced digital services without having to make significant investments in new capital expenditures.
