Northrop Grumman to Participate in Small Business Conference Hosted by Ft. Monmouth C4ISR Army Team

Company's Aerial Common Sensor Proposal Team Seeks Key Small Business Support

FT. MONMOUTH, N.J., May 27, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will participate in the Annual Army Team Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Advance Planning Briefing for Industry/Small Business Conference in Gibbs Hall on May 28-29.

A key focus for Northrop Grumman will be on seeking small business support for its upcoming C4ISR programs, including the U.S. Army's Aerial Common Sensor (ACS) program. Northrop Grumman is leading a team competing for the ACS program, an airborne platform that will provide the warfighter with persistent battlefield surveillance as well as tactical reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition (RSTA) capability. From the moment it arrives over the battlefield, ACS will provide troops on the ground with critical situational intelligence.

The Northrop Grumman team includes AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems Corporation; General Dynamics; and L-3 Communications Corp.

Northrop Grumman's objective is to complement the core ACS team with outstanding small business innovation and capability, as partners with the Army, to ensure ACS program success.

"Small business participation is a key component of our ACS proposal," said Frank Moore, sector vice president and lead executive for the ACS program for Northrop Grumman. "This event offers a unique opportunity to meet qualified C4ISR small business suppliers to discuss a possible role on this important program. We are on track to secure their participation as we refine our approach to implementing the Army's vision for ACS."
