Release of a Voting Rights announcement

On 28 May 2008, UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland (address: Bahnhofstrasse 45,
8098 Zurich/Switzerland), has informed us according to section 21 para. 1
WpHG that its voting rights on METRO AG, Düsseldorf, Germany (address:
Schlüterstraße 1, 40235 Düsseldorf), ISIN: DE0007257503, WKN: 725750, have
exceeded the 3% limit of the voting rights on 22 May 2008 and amount to
3.33% (this corresponds to 10793660 voting rights).
According to section 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 1 WpHG, 1.33% of the voting
rights (this corresponds to 4317240 voting rights) is to be attributed to
UBS AG.
