30.5.08 – OnVista AG (DE0005461602) sells the online advertising sales firm
Ad2Net GmbH to Media Ventures GmbH. The contract was signed today. For the
sale of Ad2Net, OnVista will receive EUR 1.6 million in cash plus a media
volume for advertising services over a term of three years, which
represents roughly the same value.

As an independent venture capital company, Media Ventures GmbH invests in
young media and technology businesses. The portfolio of the Cologne-based
company includes orangemedia and BusinessAd.

The background of the sale of Ad2Net is the change in OnVista Group’s
strategy, announced in November 2007, and the related focus on the core
business, financial markets, with its OnVista finance portal and the
financial community Tradingbird. The transaction results in a pre-tax book
loss for OnVista AG in the lower single digit million region. Furthermore
the sale will effect the profit and loss account, since the company sold
will in future no longer contribute to OnVista’s sales and profits.
Consequently, as early as from the second quarter of 2008 onward, the key
financial figures of OnVista AG to be released will no longer be comparable
with the previous year’s values.
