Notification of Voting Rights pursuant to § 21 para. 1 WpHG

JPMorgan Asset Management Holding Inc., New York, USA, informed us
according to section 21, paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading Act
that as of May 22, 2008 they have gone below the threshold of 3% of the
voting rights in LANXESS AG and hold 2.99% of the voting rights. This
corresponds to 2,493,587 voting rights.
These voting rights are in their entirety attributable to JPMorgan Asset
Management Holding Inc. pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 in
conjunction with sentence 2 WpHG.
