Eindhoven, May 30, 2008 Catalis SE a worldwide leading outsourcing
services provider focusing on high-end technical services relating to the
creation of digital content for the film, games and telecom industry,
announces that the publication of its annual report 2007 will be delayed by
approximately 4-6 weeks.
The company was selected by FREP (Financial Reporting Enforcement Panel)
for the audit of the annual report 2006 in the course of its
random-sampling examinations. Due to the audit of the FREP, Catalis SE is
not able to meet the time schedule regarding the publication of the annual
report 2007. The publication of the annual report 2007 is therefore
deferred by 4-6 weeks. This delay is also affecting the publication of the
first quarterly report 2008.
The FREP was introduced by the Accounting Enforcement Act (BilKoG) to
strengthen the integrity of the capital markets and to enhance shareholder
protection and is already active since the 1st July 2005. The task of the
FREP is to audit the annual figures and management reports of capital
market focused companies in a two-tiered enforcement procedure.
There are two different types of such audits: an indication-based
examination which takes place if there are concrete infringements against
the accounting regulations and a random-sampling examination where the
company is selected for a preventive sampling examination without any
suspect of infringements against the accounting regulations. The FREP aims
to audit index companies within a period of five years and all further
companies within a period of 10 years in the course of its random-sampling
examinations.
There were 124 random-sampling examinations in 2008. 20 examinations were
indication-based examinations and two examinations were requested by BaFin.
In 2008, Catalis SE was selected for a random-sampling examination. We are
looking forward to cooperate with the FREP and provide them with all
information needed for the execution of a fast audit.
