FINNAIR OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 3 JUNE 2008 AT 18.15 FINNAIR PILOTS' COLLECTIVE LABOUR AGREEMENT NEGOTIATIONS END WITHOUT RESULTS The Finnish pilots' association SLL representing Finnair pilots today rejected the employer side's proposal for a collective labour agreement and announced that as industrial action it would begin a ban on overtime today at midnight. No new negotiations have been scheduled. “We cannot continue with the negotiations during industrial action. The proposal made to the employee side was the highest possible we could make in the fast declining situation that the airline industry is in,” says the Managing Director of the Association of Support Service Industries Peter Forsström. “Rejection of the proposal shows an inability from the employee side to understand realities. All news about the airline industry recently has been bad. Fuel prices are going up at a breath-taking pace and decline of demand has been severe. In this situation we have nothing to divvy up, with any employee group,” says Finnair SVP Human Resources Anssi Komulainen. The overtime-ban is not expected to affect traffic in coming days.
