Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. Signs Consulting Agreement With Well Known Scientist, Dr. Donald Jarvis

LANSING, Mich., June 4, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCBB:KBLB) announced today that Dr. Donald Jarvis of the University of Wyoming has entered into a formal consulting relationship with the Company. Earlier this year Dr. Jarvis joined Kraig's Board of Scientific Advisors. Dr. Jarvis's appointment to the advisory board was made in anticipation of his entering into this consulting agreement. Dr. Jarvis will retain his position on the advisory board.

Dr. Jarvis is currently conducting work at the University of Wyoming in the development of spider silk polymers. "We view Dr. Jarvis's cutting edge work with protein expression systems and spider silk polymers as a great complement to Kraig's high strength polymers program," said Kraig's CEO Kim K. Thompson. "The synergy created by the addition of Dr. Jarvis to our team puts us in a strong position in regard to both product and intellectual property development."

Dr. Jarvis is a renowned inventor and the developer of technologies related to pharmaceutical platforms. It was his developmental work with spider silk polymers which first caught the attention of Kraig's CEO. Dr. Jarvis is very well known in the scientific community for his revolutionary work in genetics and biochemicals. The Consulting agreement announced today is subject to review by the University of Wyoming, however neither Kraig nor Dr. Jarvis anticipate any major difficulty in that area. Dr. Jarvis is the inventor or co-inventor of more than a dozen patent applications, including technologies related to pharmaceutical production.

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories is a technology company focused on the development of commercially significant high-performance polymers, technical fibers and diverse platform technologies. Based on proprietary genetic engineering technology, Kraig is working to develop and produce polymers and protein-based materials including spider silk for use in the multi-billion dollar technical fibers market.
