ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., June 4, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Mark S. Kula vice president of Radio Frequency Combat and Information Systems (RFCIS) for the company's Electronic Systems sector.

Kula will be responsible for leading a team that designs and delivers high-performance, digital electronic warfare systems critical to aircraft survival in combat situations and will also be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of new business strategies to shape and grow the RFCIS business area.

He joined the company in 1986 and has held a variety of management and executive positions in operations, engineering and manufacturing, and program management. Most recently, Kula served as vice president of the National Security Operations business unit at Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector.

Kula earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has completed the General Manager Program at Harvard University and the Executive Marketing Program at the University of California at Los Angeles.
