Peab acquires BEFAB in Linköping

Peab has acquired the land developer Berg och Falk AB (BEFAB), which is
primarily active in the Östergötland region.
BEFAB mainly works with land development, management and maintenance as well as
ballast production. The company has around 200 employees and a turnover of
approximately SEK 360 million. The seller, Ryno Berg, will continue as MD in the
company and the business will continue to function in its current form under the
brand name BEFAB. Part of the purchase sum will be paid in Peab shares. The
Swedish Competition Authority must approve the acquisition in order for the
contract to be valid. Ownership takeover is expected to take place on 1 July
2008.

The customary personnel negotiations have been completed.

- The acquisition strengthens and compliments Peab's existing civil engineering
organisation in Östergötland well,” comments Peab's Deputy CEO Jan Johansson.

- Selling to Peab provides us with vital opportunities to further develop
operations in BEFAB, comments the seller and MD Ryno Berg.
