New Supervisory Board appointed by court
Unterneukirchen (Germany), June 10, 2008. The Local Court in Traunstein
(Germany) informed SKW Stahl-Metallurgie Holding AG on June 10, 2008 that
in accordance with the application submitted by the Executive Board - it
has appointed Dr. Friedrich Trautwein, Titus Weinheimer and Dr. Wolfgang
Ziegler as new member of the company's Supervisory Board. This means that
the non-co-determined Supervisory Board of the specialty chemicals company
which is to be included in the SDAX from June 23, 2008 - again has its
full number of members after none of the candidates at SKW Metallurgie's
Annual General Meeting on June 4, 2008 achieved the two-thirds majority
stipulated in the Articles of Incorporation. The new Supervisory Board has
a period of office through to the next General Meeting, at which the
shareholders can again vote on their representatives.
In its inaugural meeting, which was held immediately after the court
appointment was received, the new Supervisory Board elected Titus
Weinheimer as its Chairman and Dr. Friedrich Trautwein as its Deputy
Chairman.
