Petri Hatakka - new head of Handelsbanken International


On 15 August, Petri Hatakka will take up his newly appointed position
as head of Handelsbanken International. He is an executive vice
president of Handelsbanken and is part of the Bank's senior
management team.

Petri Hatakka currently works as head of Handelsbanken's Regional
Bank Finland.

Handelsbanken International is responsible for the Bank's
international branch office operations that are outside regional
banking operations. However, the branch offices in the Baltic region,
which are currently part of Regional Bank Finland, will be moved to
Handelsbanken International at the same time as Petri Hatakka takes
up his new position.

Today, Handelsbanken has over 660 branches in 22 countries, making
Handelsbanken the most international bank in the Nordic countries.

The current head of Handelsbanken International, Björn Börjesson,
will take up a newly created position in the Central Bank Management,
with special responsibility for corporate governance matters as well
as social and authority-related contacts.
