The Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG, Solms, Germany (ISIN
DE000A0EPU98), in its meeting of today has appointed Stephan Trippe as a
new additional member of the Board of Management. As a member of the Board
of Management Stephan Trippe will be responsible for the Companys
Technology/Production area.
Also in todays Supervisory Board meeting, Wulf Matthias has declared
vis-à-vis the members of the Supervisory Board and the Board of Management
that he resigns from his office as Chairman of the Supervisory Board but
that he does not abdicate his mandate as a member of the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board and the Board of Management have accepted his
resignation. Thereafter, the Supervisory Board elected Dr. Wolf Schumacher
Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Wulf Matthias Deputy Chairman of the
Supervisory Board. Both Dr. Wolf Schumacher and Wulf Matthias accepted
their election. Dr. Wolf Schumacher is Chairman of the Management Board of
Aareal Bank AG, Wiesbaden.
