SHANNON, Ireland, June 20, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Genesis Lease Limited (NYSE:GLS) today announced that it has named Pierre McNamara, age 35, as Vice President, Technical. Pierre will be responsible for technical matters relating to the acquisition and oversight of the Company's portfolio of aircraft.

Prior to joining Genesis Lease, Mr. McNamara was Technical Asset Manager at RBS Aviation Capital (RBS), Royal Bank of Scotland's aircraft leasing and finance division with over 200 aircraft on operating leases. Mr. McNamara has more than 17 years of experience working in the aviation industry, including with Aer Lingus, Transaer Airlines, KLM and Aerotech Aviation Services. Mr. McNamara holds a Certificate in Asset Finance and Leasing, and Aircraft Engineering Licenses for the B737, B767 and A320.
