The power situation in Norway as of 25 June 2008

Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE):     

Increased power prices in Southern Norway
In week 25 the average power price in Southern Norway was 27 øre/kWh. This is 10 øre more than the week before, and is the highest price in this area since February. Still, Southern Norway had the lowest price of the Nordic areas. In Middle and Northern Norway, the average week prices were 47 and 43 øre/kWh, just about the same prices as in Sweden and Finland.  

The inflow to the Norwegian reservoirs increased by 3.6 percentage points in week 25, and was 72.5 percent at the end of the week. The reservoir level was 9.9 percentage points above the median level for the week, and 3.1 percentage points over the 2007 level. Inflow was highest in Middle Norway (NO2), with 76 percent.
