EnviTec Biogas signs largest contract in company history worth EUR 60
million:
First major contract secured following amendment of Germany’s EEG Act

Lohne, 24 June 2008 – A leading German project company will purchase
equipment worth EUR 60 million from EnviTec Biogas AG [ISIN: DE000A0MVLS8].
This will be realised within the coming 24-month period. Crucial for the
contract award was powerful position of EnviTec Biogas in the German Biogas
market. This marks the first major contract secured by EnviTec Biogas after
the amendment of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG Act) which
provides for increased promotion of biogas in the future.

In line with the new EEG only individual 500 kilowatt (KWel) modules will
be built, assuring a future-proof funding. The construction of the plants
will start immediately. The project company will operate the plants in
cooperation with farmers all over Germany.

As expected by EnviTec Biogas, numerous projects postponed in recent months
due to the unclear legislative prospects will now be realised, leading to a
clear recovery of demand in Germany.

Information and Explaination of the Issuer to this News:

Kunibert Ruhe, CTO of EnviTec Biogas, said: 'This contract awarded by a
leading project developer shows that the biogas market is regaining its
strength. Business is picking up momentum again and we are excellently
prepared to benefit from it.' This demonstrates that the passing of the
revised EEG Act in June by the German parliament has restored planning
certainty for investors.

As a leading supplier of biogas plants EnviTec Biogas covers the full
spectrum from smaller to major plants (3.5 MWel) in modular and
standardized design. The company’s standardised plant design offers
significant advantages: High planning reliability while funding, shorter
lead times and lower operating costs. This advantage means that EnviTec is
perfectly positioned to partake of the growing demand in Germany and
abroad.

EnviTec Biogas AG covers the entire value chain for the production of
biogas - including the planning and turnkey construction of biogas plants
as well as their commissioning. The company provides the biological and
technical service and also offers the full plant and operating management.
In addition, the company also operates its own biogas plants. In Penkun, in
the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, EnviTec constructed the
world's largest biogas park with an electrical connected load of 20
megawatts. Today, the company is represented in more than 14 countries
throughout Europe and as well in China and India. In 2007 EnviTec generated
revenues of EUR 132 million and EBIT of EUR 18 million. The EnviTec Group
has about 280 employees. Since July 2007 EnviTec is listed on the Prime
Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
