HERNDON, Va., June 30, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a contract to develop and provide instruction on battle command systems and their use, battle staff integration, and training and simulations to the U.S. Army Command General Staff College (CGSC), Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
The Digital Leader Development Center (DLDC) contract is a firm, fixed-price contract valued at more than $26 million over five years.
Northrop Grumman's DLDC teammates include: Computer Science Cooperation, Eastontown, N.J.; Summit Solutions Inc., Leavenworth, Kan.; Booze Allen Hamilton, McLean, Va.; Tapestry Solutions, San Diego; Global InfoTek, Inc. Reston, Va; and Decisive Point, Kansas City, Mo. The team will perform work primarily at Fort Leavenworth CGSC and will also support exercises at CGSC satellite campuses at Fort Belvoir and Fort Lee in Virginia and Fort Gordon, Ga.
