Advanced Building Technologies Introduces State-of-the-Art Assessment Tools for Soccer Coaches

JUPITER, Fla., June 30, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Building Technologies, Inc., a leader in sports consulting services, has introduced a web-based program that gives soccer coaches and trainers worldwide new high-tech tools for player assessments. The web-based program, Comprehensive Assessment Program for Soccer, or CAPS focuses on the collection, storage and analysis of objective data specific to an individual player's Skills, Fitness and 1 vs 1 competition results. The data is then combined with the coach's subjective assessments and presented in a user-friendly web format.

CAPS is based on over 15 years of extensive research and analysis of thousands of evaluation and assessment programs throughout the U.S. and Europe. In the program's first month alone, over 1,150 soccer coaches have signed on and are using these new advanced tools.

"Soccer coaches and players have not had the benefit of using state-of-the-art technology until now," states Advanced Business Technologies' CEO Brad Partridge. "Our goal was to create a program that would enable coaches and trainers at any level to efficiently and effectively build a powerful assessment and evaluation foundation for each player. The program had to be easy to use and administer while at the same time it needed to produce precise and meaningful data for both the coaches and the players."

CAPS uses basic Skills, Fitness and 1 vs 1 activities in order to deliver the objective data required for precise player assessments. The activities are performed on a standard field, using typical coaching equipment that eliminates the high costs associated with specialized testing. CAPS analyzes the data and provides immediate, objective feedback to the player and coach. Along with this thorough player breakdown, CAPS includes a coaches' subjective analysis that serves to identify player strengths and weaknesses in game performance.

Below are some testimonials from coaches that have already enjoyed the success and effectiveness of CAPS:

"I and the boys are enjoying the challenge and assessments. I have done these with my own comparisons to the Women's National Team when I was coaching U-17 Boys Premier...This is fun and builds competition to another level internally." Steven P. Gloshen, Traverse Bay Area Youth Soccer

"Thank you for the opportunity to test drive this program. As you probably guessed there are some aspects I already use but the reporting tool is definitely something I like." James Barlow, M.Ed., Head Men's Soccer Coach, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, Ariz.

CAPS' easy-to-use web-based platform does not require any specialized software or hardware for coaches to operate. CAPS also provides player rankings for all activities. These rankings are specific to the team or group that has been assessed using the CAPS program. In addition, CAPS trademark CAPScore process can compare results with other soccer players in the same age and gender anywhere in the world. With the number of players involved in the world's most popular sport, CAPS provides the most powerful tools available to help coaches effectively develop their players.
