Government Communications Unit Press Release 200/2008 30.6.2008 France Telecom indicativeoffer on TeliaSonera The discussions between France Telecom and TeliaSonera did not result in a firm offer sufficient for the Government of Finland to sell its shares in TeliaSonera to France Telecom. Based on its own assessment the Government of Finland shares the view published today by the Board of Directors of TeliaSonera on the issue. Mr. Jyri Häkämies, Minister for State Ownership Steering, emphasise that TeliaSonera is a strong company on the Nordic market and has solid future prospects in growing markets. The Government of Finland has full confidence in the company.
