Green Fleet Summit Hosted by LeasePlan


CHICAGO, July 8, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- LeasePlan, a global leader in vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, recently held a Green Summit for global fleet and corporate social responsibility managers at the McDonald's campus in Oak Brook, IL. The half day workshop focused on the challenges and successes of companies looking to "green" their corporate fleets.

Popular discussion topics included the calculation of carbon footprints and options for reducing and offsetting carbon emissions. Vehicle selections were examined, including alternative fuel vehicles, hybrids, diesels and four cylinder models, and driver behaviors were analyzed. Best practices from across the globe were also presented.
