Training Magazine Names Standard Parking's Tracy Lendi as One of Top 10 Young Trainers

CHICAGO, July 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Standard Parking Corporation (Nasdaq:STAN), one of the nation's leading providers of parking management, ground transportation and other ancillary services, announced today that the May 2008 issue of Training magazine has named Tracy Lendi, the Company's Director of Training and Development, as one of the Top 10 Young Trainers.

The magazine's evaluation process considered a wide range of criteria that included, among others, the candidates' leadership skills, technical competence, ability to consistently produce training results, success in meeting difficult training challenges, and history in developing innovative training solutions and programs aligned with their employers' business interests.

Since joining Standard Parking in July 2006, Ms. Lendi has successfully developed and implemented a redesigned Standard University(sm), the Company's online learning management system that is the foundation for all of Standard Parking's formal training programs. Standard University(sm) contains a comprehensive course catalog that address job-specific requirements for the Company's various positions. Courses are deployed using multiple methods -- classroom-based, web-based and self-directed computer-based -- to ensure that all employees have access and the flexibility to take their required and elective training courses as their schedules permit.

In addition to her work on Standard University(sm), Ms. Lendi reorganized the Company's field training organization and developed evaluations for high-profile Company courses in order to link training outcomes to improvement in key operational metrics. In addition, she leads Standard Parking's ongoing instructional design efforts for courses supporting the Company's new service products and internal applications.

In commenting on Ms. Lendi's honor, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, James A. Wilhelm, said, "While we here at Standard Parking are well aware of the reach and benefits that Tracy's work produces for both our employees and our clients, we're all delighted that she has received this well-deserved recognition and honor from her peers."

As a Top 10 Young Trainer, Ms. Lendi automatically becomes a member of Training magazine's Editorial Advisory Board.
