Studsvik receives order for treatment of Steam Generators from Ringhals nuclear power plant



Studsvik has received an order for the treatment and metal recycling
of three steam generators. The customer is Vattenfall Ringhals and
the order is received under the existing Memorandum of Understanding
concerning treatment of large components signed in 2006. The steam
generators are planned to be delivered to Studsvik during fall 2008
and the treatment is planned to start during the first quarter 2009.
The contract value is SEK 34 million.

Studsvik and Vattenfall Ringhals signed during fall 2006 a Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) regarding waste treatment in Studsvik's
facilities, of eight steam generators and two reactor pressure vessel
heads from the Swedish nuclear power plant Ringhals. The aim is to
reduce the quantity of waste and to recover the metal. Ringhals has
up to now delivered three steam generators for treatment under the
MOU.

Studsvik has now, under the existing MOU, received an order for the
treatment of another three steam generators with an order value of
SEK 34 million. The steam generators are planned to be delivered to
Studsvik during fall 2008. Treatment is sheduled to start during the
first quarter of 2009 and is expected to be finalized within a 15
months period."We are at present treating four steam generators from the German
nuclear power plant Stade and our technology continues to demonstrate
excellent performance. We are able to recycle the bulk of the
metallic material which is a great benefit for our customers and the
