HCC Life Insurance Company Appoints Rolland Regional Executive Vice President


HOUSTON, July 28, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HCC) announced today that Neil J. Rolland has been named Regional Executive Vice President of HCC Life Insurance Company with responsibility for its Northwest Regional Office in Minnetonka, MN. HCC Life is a subsidiary of HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc.

As Regional Executive Vice President, Rolland will oversee the underwriting and marketing for HCC Life's medical stop loss division in the division's 17-state Northwest Region. Before joining the Company, Rolland served as Vice President, Payer Relations and Business Development of Minute Clinic, Inc., and has also held management positions with HealthPartners and with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. He has a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
