HYATTSVILLE, Md., July 29, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The U-Haul Company of Metro D.C. today announced the promotion of Patrick Goodwin to president. Goodwin brings 14 years of U-Haul experience to his new position, where he will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company, including truck, trailer and storage rentals.

Goodwin began his U-Haul career in May 1994 as a customer service representative (CSR) and in July of that year was promoted to general manager (GM) of U-Haul Center Randolph Road. From May 1997 to September 2001, Goodwin held various positions within the company, including area field manager (AFM), senior manager and traffic control manager (TCM). In October 2003, Goodwin was promoted to executive assistant (EA) for U-Haul Company of Metro D.C., the position he held until May 2007 when he became field relief manager (FRM) for the company. Today, Goodwin will use his talent, drive and vast company knowledge to promote growth within the U-Haul Company of Metro D.C.
