We are very pleased to announce that Anders Gärdström has been appointed as
Chief Executive Director (CED) in the Group's Swedish subsidiary Solar Sverige
AB with accession latest at the beginning of 2009.
Anders Gärdström, who is Swedish and 42 years old, has been employed with YIT
Sverige AB since 2003, originally as Vice President and later as Executive Vice
President. Previously, Anders Gärdström has been employed within the ABB group
for a number of years, i.a. as Executive Vice President for the business area
ABB Building System, Zurich and as President for ABB Communications AB, Sweden.
Anders Gärdström will at a later appointed date replace our current CED Kjell
Svensson who in the most excellent way during the past 15 years, through the
construction of a very strong and competent Swedish organisation, has created
the company's strong position in the market. Kjell Svensson will still be
involved in Solar - however, on his own request, part-time - solving special
tasks for Anders Gärdström and Group Management in Kolding.
We would like to take this opportunity to bid Anders Gärdström a warm-hearted
welcome to Solar - not only in the role as CED for Solar Sverige AB but also as
a member of Solar Management Team which is the Group's top day to day
management. At this rather early point in time, we would also like to thank
Kjell Svensson very much for his unique effort for the Solar Group during the
many years past.
