FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga., Aug. 6, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Imagine a time in the far distant future where Earth is not the only place we can call home. Technology has advanced to a point that life on other planets is made possible to accommodate Earth's drastic population increase. Anything is possible, or is it? Follow man as he attempts his most ambitious project yet -- the creation of a new star. Will man succeed in his quest to replicate God's creation? Find out in STARKIT, a fascinating science fiction novel written by Andrew Colaninno.

Carmina Burana can only imagine what life on Earth is, having lived on Mars since she was born. Despite the multiple colonies built on the Earth's moon, Mars, and other planets, the human population continues to overflow, emphasizing the need for new land. However, everything remotely habitable in the solar system has already been utilized. Building a moon-sized space station is out of the question. Thus, man turns to another alternative, one more challenging and visionary -- building a brand new star. The only problem left now is to figure out how. Will Carmina and the others be successful in creating a new star system? Or will it lead to tragedy? To make matters worse, someone is determined to see the project STARKIT fail.
