SSH AND SDS DELIVER SECURE FILE TRANSFER AND ROBUST FTP MANAGEMENT SOLUTION FOR IBM z/OS MAINFRAMES

SSH Tectia and New SDS FTP Manager 2.0 Deliver Comprehensive, Cost-effective
and Easy-to-Deploy Enterprise Security Solution for IBM z/OS Environments

HELSINKI, FINLAND, WELLESLEY, Mass. and BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. - August 12,
2008 - SSH Communications Security (OMX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of
enterprise security solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the
original developer of the Secure Shell protocol, and Software Diversified
Services (SDS) , a leading supplier of TCP/IP monitoring and file transfer
solutions for IBM z/OS mainframes, today announced a comprehensive encryption
and secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP) automation solution for IBM mainframe
customers. Through this partnership, SDS will distribute and support a bundled
solution combining SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS and the new SDS FTP Manager
(SFM) 2.0 product.

Together, SSH Tectia and SFM 2.0 dramatically increase the level of security
for enterprises conducting batch file transfers on IBM mainframes by combining
robust data security with advanced monitoring and management functionality.
The combined solution provides enterprise customers with near-effortless,
snap-in SSH protocol-based encryption for FTP file transfers to and from IBM
z/OS mainframes, without requiring any changes to Job Control Language (JCL)
jobs, data files, or application infrastructure. In addition, SFM 2.0
seamlessly integrates an IBM FTP client to the advanced security and encryption
services of the SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS product.

SSH and SDS will be demonstrating the combined solution at the SHARE conference
in San Jose, Calif., August 10-15, 2008, at the Vendor Pavilion on Wednesday,
August 13, at 1:30 pm. For more information, visit:
www.share.org/Events/CurrentConference/tabid/128/Default.aspx.

“Together, SFM 2.0 and SSH Tectia offer the ideal combination of iron-clad
secure file transfer and robust, yet easy to use FTP management capabilities
for IBM z/OS environments,” said Jim Lampi, vice president, SDS. “We are
delighted to work with SSH to bring new levels of data security to our joint
customers, enabling them to overcome all the security limitations and
shortcomings of FTP.”

“The SFM 2.0 solution builds upon SDS's strong reputation for delivering
world-class IBM mainframe monitoring and file transfer solutions,” said George
Adams, CEO, SSH Communications Security, Inc. “Combining SSH Tectia with SFM
2.0 offers enterprise customers not only an unmatched level of data security,
but also increased visibility into all IT security operations. Together, SFM
and SSH Tectia enable IT managers to quickly and easily secure
business-critical data in heterogeneous computing environments, while
simultaneously ensuring compliance with a wide range of key government and
industry data security regulations.”
SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS is an advanced, cost-effective, secure file
transfer and secure data-in-transit solution for IBM z/OS mainframes. It
provides transparent FTP tunneling and automatic FTP to SFTP (Secure File
Transfer Protocol) conversion for fast, low-cost replacement of unsecure FTP in
enterprise networks. Offering state-of-the-art encryption and authentication
technologies, SSH Tectia allows enterprises to quickly and easily secure file
transfers and data-in-transit between IBM mainframe, Windows, Unix, and Linux
systems.

SFM 2.0 enables real-time monitoring of IBM z/OS mainframe batch file
transfers, as well as secure traffic through SSH Tectia clients and servers via
a single, intuitive GUI interface. SFM 2.0 automates FTP processes, secures
individual FTP commands, and provides comprehensive audit trails to ensure
compliance with key government regulations. In addition, it provides the FTP
Control Language (FCL) for IBM mainframe batch jobs to log and retry failed
transfers, while also alerting the attending operator when automated recovery
fails. Working together, SSH and SDS will save programmers time and money by
eliminating the need to alter JCL code to encrypt file transfers.

SSH Tectia ensures that file transfers being monitored by SFM 2.0 are protected
against malicious threats. SFM 2.0 further addresses FTP security shortcomings
by integrating the z/OS FTP server with mainframe System Authorization Facility
(SAF) security (RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret).

The additional layer of security from SSH Tectia enables SFM 2.0 users to meet
the stringent data security standards as required by government and industry
regulations, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
(GLBA), PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), and Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). SFM's robust monitoring
and auditing of SFTP and Secure Copy (SCP) file transfers — the secure
protocols used by SSH Tectia Server for IBM z/OS — provides powerful oversight,
diagnostics, and proof of regulatory compliance.

The combined SSH Tectia and SFM 2.0 security solution will be available later
this month from SDS. For more information, visit:
