New Peab Schools start up in Malmö and Solna

The construction company Peab launched its own three-year upper secondary school
with a construction program in Ängelholm in the autumn of 2006. There were 64
students in the class of 2006 and half of them did not meet entrance
requirements, i.e. they had failed one of the obligatory subjects Swedish,
English and or Mathematics.

Results from the school in Ängelholm are so good that Peab has decided to open
two new schools based on the same concept - one in Malmö and one in Solna.

Each of the new Peab Schools will start the autumn term with 24 students while
Ängelholm, where a third new class will begin this year, will have around 100
students.

Peab Schools sandwich theoretical education with practice at one of Peab's many
workplaces. One positive experience from Ängelholm is that many of the students
have become eligible while following the course there.
