On 18 August 2008 AS Eesti Ehitus and Aktsiaselts Saarte Liinid will sign a contract for the construction works of quay no. 8 in Port of Virtsu (situated in the western part of Estonia). The contract includes mainly of quay building works (160 meters), dredging (to 7 meters, volume of 63 thousand cubic meters) and building access roads (280 meters). The value of the contract is approximately EEK 79 million (approximately EUR 5.05 million) excluding the VAT of 18 per cent. The planned schedule for the works to begin and end is August 2008 and October 2009 respectively. Eesti Ehitus is a group of construction companies whose core business is general contracting and construction management in the construction of buildings and infrastructures in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. In addition, in Estonia our companies act as independent contractors in road construction and maintenance, environmental engineering, the assembly of reinforced concrete elements, and the performance of cast-on-site concrete works.
