Carina Åkerström, new head of Handelsbanken in Eastern Sweden

Carina Åkerström has today been appointed new head of Handelsbanken's
regional bank in Eastern Sweden. At the same time she has been
appointed Executive Vice President of Handelsbanken and becomes a
member of the Bank's senior management team.

Carina Åkerström is currently regional area manager at the regional
bank in Stockholm.  She succeeds Anders Ohlner who has been appointed
head of Handelsbanken's regional bank in Southern Sweden.

Carina Åkerström takes up her new position on 20 August.
